It's the latest craze to hit the beauty counter, BB cream. We’re seeing it on news stories, spotting it in beauty blogs – but to some the wonder of what BB cream - most commonly beauty balm – remains somewhat unknown.

Also commonly referencing as a blemish balm, or blemish base, the cosmetic treatment is as an all-in-one facial product. Replacing the steps of serum, moisturiser, primer, foundation, and sunblock – tinted BB cream can be worn alone or under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage.

Previous sold mainly in East and Southeast Asian markets, BB creams are increasingly being introduced to the Western market with "The Huffington Post" calling it the The Next Big Thing In Beauty.
