Benzac AC gel is a water-based gel that aids the treatment of acne. Benzac AC gel 10% is the highest strength gel in the range.
Benzac AC products contain an acrylates copolymer. Acrylates copolymers are tiny highly porous beads that are so porous they can absorb up to four times their own weight in fluid. They soak up certain liquids quickly and easily, but are selective about what they can absorb. They can rapidly absorb oils, however, they can't absorb water because water has a very high surface tension.
